Assistant Manager – Mechanical Design (Industrial Utilities / Service Design)

Role Purpose

To lead utility and service design for industrial projects, ensuring optimal layouts, accurate estimations, and smooth coordination with cross-functional teams, vendors, and consultants.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare plant layout, utility equipment sizing, and utility/ancillary building layouts.
• Develop basic design, design DBR, P&IDs, BOQs, budget estimates, and scope matrices.
• Coordinate with CFT, architects, MEP consultants, vendors, contractors, and clients.
• Study site conditions and integrate levels, contours, and slopes into design.
• Evaluate new technologies/vendors and support techno-commercial proposals.
• Update design dashboards and support project execution teams.

Technical Expertise

• Utility systems: WTP, STP, ETP, Compressed Air, Firefighting, Gas Systems.
• Pump selection, pipe sizing, plant layout, AutoCAD, and value engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical Utilities & MEP interfaces.

Qualification & Experience

• BE/B Tech - Mechanical Engineering
• 6 to 2 years in utility design/sizing, MEP coordination, and industrial projects.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical, budgeting, and design skills.
• Ability to coordinate with consultants, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of utility/infra standards, piping design (preferred).
