Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing daily and weekly production schedules for joinery and furniture works.
- Supervise workshop operations including cutting, assembly, veneering, polishing, and packing.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams to ensure timely material flow and job completion.
- Monitor manpower productivity, allocate tasks, and ensure adherence to production targets.
- Inspect materials and finished products to maintain quality standards and client specifications.
- Maintain records of production reports, material consumption, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of joinery machinery and tools.
- Enforce health and safety guidelines in the workshop.
- Support continuous improvement in production efficiency, waste reduction, and process optimization.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience as supervisor / production In charge in a joinery / furniture / interior fit-out production environment.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking materials, machinery, and joinery techniques.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and translate them into workshop tasks.
- Proven experience in supervising carpenters, machine operators, and finishing teams.
- Hands-on knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and quality control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and maintain production quality.
- Proficiency in MS Office / ERP systems for production reporting and planning.
- Qualification: Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Production, or Wood Technology (or equivalent).
- Preference for candidates with GCC experience in joinery or fit-out manufacturing.
