ATU Duty Free is a 2000 established, Turkey based company which is one of the market leaders in the country’s duty free operator chain. Incepted as a joint venture between Unifree Duty Free & Gebr. Heinemann and TAV Airports holding, the company has always stayed one step ahead of its competitors. TAV Airports’ expertise in construction and airport operations, combined with Unifree Duty Free and Gebr. Heinemann’s expertise in global travel logistics and retail has enabled ATU’s business model to be a perfect blend of a landlord/ airport operator, a retailer and a supplier, which also proves essential for airport retailing.

The company is the sole duty free operator of airports in Izmir, Ankara and Istanbul in Turkey, Enfidha airports in Tunisia, Tbilisi and Batumi airports in Georgia, Riga International Airport in Latvia and Skopje & Ohrid airports in Macedonia. ATU Duty Free works with a vision to introduce innovations to the basic duty free business model along all functions and segments within the value chain. To preserve its worldwide reputation in duty free retail, ATU has maintained its client oriented management approach since its inception.
