Roles & Responsibilities
As an Audit Associate, you will play a critical role within our auditing team, working closely with auditors to plan, execute, and finalize audit engagements for our diverse clientele. Your work will require a detailed understanding of various accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and an unwavering commitment to maintaining the integrity of financial reporting. You will be responsible for completing a range of audit checks and verifications, ensuring compliance with statutory audit standards. This role will provide a robust opportunity for learning and professional growth within a dynamic and challenging environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential as you collaborate with colleagues to deliver timely, effective audit services.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and planning of financial audits to meet client requirements.
- Review and analyze client financial statements and accounting records for accuracy.
- Conduct tests and checks of financial documents with precision and accuracy.
- Collaborate with senior auditors to draft and review audit reports and recommendations.
- Identify and communicate potential audit issues and risks to the audit team leader.
- Participate in fieldwork, including visiting client sites and conducting interviews.
- Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist in the resolution of audit queries and concerns raised by clients or team members.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with client personnel and team members.
- Stay updated on new auditing tools, techniques, and best practices through ongoing learning.
- Support other audit activities as required to meet departmental and organizational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Prior internship or experience in auditing or accounting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and standards.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data analysis tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
