Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles and parts for painting by sanding, masking, priming, and filling dents or scratches.
- Mix, match, and apply paints, varnishes, and finishes according to manufacturer specifications.
- Operate spray guns and other painting equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect surfaces for imperfections and ensure smooth finishing.
- Apply undercoats, base coats, clear coats, and touch-ups as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures related to paint handling, spraying, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with body shop technicians and supervisors to ensure timely completion of repair and painting jobs.
- Keep records of work performed and materials used.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or technical certificate in automotive painting or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as an Auto Painter or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of different types of automotive paints (solvent-based, waterborne, etc.).
- Skilled in mixing, color matching, and spray-painting techniques.
- Attention to detail and ability to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and use of protective equipment.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in standing positions for extended period
