Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Title / Designation:
Auto Painter / Automotive Spray Painter / Car Painter (Body Shop)
Desired Candidate Profile
Key Skills Required:
Strong experience in automotive painting and refinishing
Knowledge of surface preparation (sanding, masking, priming)
Expertise in color mixing and paint matching
Ability to apply base coat, clear coat, and finishing techniques
Familiarity with paint booth operations and spray equipment
Experience in handling minor dent finishing before painting
Knowledge of different paint systems (water-based, solvent-based)
Ability to perform polishing and buffing to achieve a high-gloss, defect-free finish
Skilled in removing paint defects such as swirl marks, dust particles, and orange peel
Understanding of safety procedures and use of PPE
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Additional Preferred Skills:
Experience in premium or multi-brand vehicles
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Good teamwork and coordination with denters and supervisors
Basic knowledge of detailing and finishing processes
Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years experience as an Auto Painter in a workshop/body shop
