Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and detailed mechanical drawings using AutoCAD
  • Develop plant layouts, equipment layouts, piping layouts, and structural coordination drawings
  • Modify existing drawings as per site changes and project requirements
  • Prepare as-built drawings after project completion
  • Assist engineers in new equipment installation, upgradation, and retrofits
  • Generate drawings for: Kiln, Raw Mill, Coal Mill systems, Material handling (belt conveyors, bucket elevators, stacker/reclaimer), Utilities (compressors, pumps, pipelines, cooling towers)
  • Support brownfield project modifications with accurate site measurements
  • Visit site for measurement verification and data collection
  • Coordinate with Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams
  • Ensure drawing feasibility as per actual site conditions
  • Maintain proper drawing register and revision control system
  • Ensure all drawings comply with project standards and ISO requirements
  • Coordinate with vendors for GA drawing approvals and revisions
  • Ensure all designs consider Safety clearances, Maintenance accessibility, Compliance with plant safety standards (LOTO, confined space, etc.)

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D)
  • Strong proficiency in 3D drawings
  • Very good knowledge and skills in modern CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor)
  • Good understanding of cement plant equipment and layouts
  • Knowledge of mechanical components, fabrication, and piping systems
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, and technical specifications
  • Familiarity with project execution and shutdown activities
  • Good coordination and communication skills
  • Experience in cement plants handling Kiln, Cooler, Raw Mill, Coal Mill, Material Handling Systems, WHR / Utilities systems
  • Experience in CAPEX projects, plant upgrades, and modifications
  • Exposure to as-built documentation and site execution support
