Roles & Responsibilities

Your Role We are looking for an automation and control expert who has experience in integration of sensors and experimental systems for intelligent, adaptive, and reliable manufacturing. The focus will be on hardware, sensor integration, experimental design, and process data acquisition. You will be accountable for: Selecting, installing, and calibrating in-situ process monitoring sensors (e.g., temperature, laser power, melt pool dynamics) and integrating them with manufacturing equipment. Desi Your Role We are looking for an automation and control expert who has experience in integration of sensors and experimental systems for intelligent, adaptive, and reliable manufacturing. The focus will be on hardware, sensor integration, experimental design, and process data acquisition. You will be accountable for: Selecting, installing, and calibrating in-situ process monitoring sensors (e.g., temperature, laser power, melt pool dynamics) and integrating them with manufacturing equipment. Designing and executing experiments to collect, analyse, and interpret large-scale, high-dimensional process data. Collaborating with software and AI/ML teams to ensure seamless data flow and system integration. Performing post-process characterisation and contribute to the development of robust experimental workflows. Documenting technical work and contribute to scientific publications/white papers Your Profile Masters in Instrumentation / Automation & Control / Mechatronics / Manufacturing Engg. Minimum 2 years of experience in sensor integration, data acquisition, and experimental design in manufacturing environments. Proficiency in PLC programming and data analysis tools (e.g., LabVIEW, Python). Experience working in collaborative, multidisciplinary research teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Background in additive manufacturing will be a huge plus. Familiarity with technoeconomic analysis (TEA) and life cycle assessment (LCA) for manufacturing scale-up. Experience with edge computing platforms and industrial IoT integration.
