Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement automation and control systems.
• Review and interpret client specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
• Conduct site surveys when required and support system design validation.
• Prepare and update technical documents including I/O lists, data sheets, BOMs, calculations, control philosophy, and system architecture.
• Develop and modify HMI and SCADA systems for various applications.
• Review control panel drawings, specify components, and coordinate with workshop during assembly.
• Program, test, and commission PLC systems.
• Support installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities at client sites.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) with proper documentation.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support, including basic IT support when needed.
• Collaborate with clients to incorporate feedback and improve system performance.
• Ensure compliance with documentation standards and best practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned within the role scope.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 1 3 years of experience in automation or control systems.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
• Programming knowledge (e.g., VBA, VBS, C) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus and TCP/IP, and system integration.
• Ability to read and interpret control panel drawings and handle related tools.
• Basic knowledge of IT systems and networking.
• Proficiency in technical documentation and reporting.
• Good command of Microsoft Office and English (written and spoken).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Team-oriented with a solution-focused mindset.
