Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industrial Automation Project Engineer with expertise in PLC, VFD (Variable Frequency Drives), and Instrumentation. This individual will be responsible for managing and executing automation projects, overseeing technical aspects of system design, commissioning, and ensuring client satisfaction from both a technical and business perspective. The ideal candidate will also have a strong track record in sales and execution, with the ability to manage projects from inception through to successful delivery. Key Responsibilities: Project Execution: Lead and manage industrial automation projects from design through to execution, ensuring project milestones, deadlines, and budgets are met. Oversee the commissioning, installation, and integration of PLC, VFD, and instrumentation systems in line with project requirements. Ensure systems are fully optimized, operational, and compliant with industry standards and customer specifications. Technical Expertise: Design, implement, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems. Integrate Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) for motor control and ensure proper communication with the PLC. Work with instrumentation systems (flow, pressure, temperature, level sensors, etc.) to ensure proper setup, calibration, and operation. Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and clients, ensuring proper implementation of automation solutions. Sales Support & Business Development: Collaborate with the sales team to develop project proposals, estimates, and technical solutions for potential clients. Engage with clients to understand their needs, provide technical consultation, and offer solutions that drive customer satisfaction and business growth. Assist in identifying new business opportunities and helping to expand the customer base through effective sales strategies. Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including project plans, technical drawings, installation guides, and operational manuals. Provide regular project status updates to senior management and stakeholders. Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and compliant with internal processes and client requirements. Customer Interaction & Support: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing ongoing technical support and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems, providing timely and effective solutions. Train client personnel on system operations and maintenance.
