Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and dependable AV Technician who can independently carry out Audio Visual and Video Conferencing installations for our upcoming projects in Qatar. The ideal candidate should have practical AV installation experience, good understanding of AV connections, and the ability to solve basic technical issues on-site.


Key Responsibilities

Independent Installation

  • Install and configure AV equipment such as TVs, projectors, LED screens, speakers, microphones, amplifiers, and small mixers.
  • Install and set up Video Conferencing systems (Microsoft Teams Room, Zoom Room, Poly, Yealink, Logitech, etc.).
  • Perform cable pulling and termination (Cat6, HDMI, 3.5mm, XLR, speaker cables).
  • Mount displays correctly using brackets and ensure safe and clean cable routing.
  • Perform rack building, equipment mounting, labelling, and cable management to professional standards.

Commissioning & Configuration

  • Configure DSPs (QSC, Biamp, BSS, etc.) and control processors (Extron, Crestron, AMX) under guidance from engineers.
  • Update firmware, load configuration files, and perform system testing.
  • Conduct system checks, alignment, and calibration for audio/video.

Troubleshooting & Testing

  • Diagnose simple technical issues and solve them on-site.
  • Test equipment after installation to ensure proper audio and video functionality.
  • Adjust basic audio levels, camera positioning, and display settings.

Site Coordination

  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other contractors.
  • Understand layout drawings and follow installation plans.
  • Complete jobs on time and maintain professional communication.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare daily installation reports.
  • Update supervisors about any site issues or material requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

Skills & Experience

  • At least 2–4 years of hands-on AV installation experience.
  • Ability to work alone and complete installations without supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of AV equipment installation, cabling, and termination.
  • Experience working with VC systems, AV switching, control systems, audio DSPs, Lighting and presentation systems.
  • Good understanding of network basics (IP addressing, VLANs for AV, Dante networking).
  • Ability to read schematic drawings and follow engineering documentation.
  • Qatar driving licence (added advantage).

  • Good communication skills with clients and team members.
  • Physically fit to handle installation tasks (lifting, ladders, etc.).
  • Punctual, organized, and committed to high-quality work.
