Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Support the planning, assessment, and design development of airside facilities including runways, taxiways, aprons, and aircraft stands.
Review engineering designs to ensure compliance with GACA, ICAO, and international aviation standards.
Conduct or support analysis of Obstacle Limitation Surfaces (OLS) and ensure proper safeguarding of aviation operations.
Evaluate apron layouts, aircraft parking configurations, and airside safety zones.
Coordinate with airport operators, regulatory bodies, and multidisciplinary design teams to address airside engineering requirements.
Participate in technical reviews, safety assessments, and operational feasibility studies.
Assist in developing aviation engineering reports, compliance statements, and technical recommendations.
Support project teams during construction oversight, commissioning, and operational readiness activities, when required.
Requirements:
Required Experience
Bachelor s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
10+ years of experience in aviation engineering, airside systems, or airport infrastructure development.
Strong experience with GACA requirements, aviation regulations, and compliance frameworks.
Familiarity with obstacle limitation surfaces (OLS), apron planning, airfield geometry, and airside operational safety.
Must have full professional proficiency in the English language.
Technical Skills
Knowledge of ICAO Annexes, GACA regulations, airside planning standards, and airport design guidelines.
Proficiency with relevant aviation or engineering tools (AutoCAD, GIS, airfield planning software, or similar).
Ability to interpret and review engineering drawings, safety assessments, and compliance documentation.
Strong technical writing, analysis, and report development skills..
Education & Certifications
Bachelor s Degree in Aeronautical or Civil Engineering.
Master s degree or aviation-specific certifications are an advantage.
