Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead and manage the implementation of aviation-related systems for the airport project, including airside operations, passenger terminals, and associated infrastructure.
Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of critical aviation systems such as airport lighting, navigation aids, and aircraft parking systems.
Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, including ICAO, FAA, and local standards, and promote a safety-first approach throughout the project lifecycle.
Act as the primary liaison between delivery partners, subcontractors, consultants, and the client, ensuring seamless communication and project alignment.
Provide technical oversight and guidance to ensure all project phases are executed on time and in line with contractual obligations.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, with a focus on mitigating risks and ensuring timely deliveries.
Ensure all aviation systems and infrastructure meet local, national, and international regulatory standards.
Conduct detailed reviews of designs and execution plans to ensure compliance with aviation codes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Monitor the installation process, perform site inspections, and approve the quality of work delivered by contractors.
Lead technical teams in troubleshooting and resolving any on-site challenges related to aviation systems and airport infrastructure.
Support the commissioning and testing of aviation systems to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Interpret technical documentation, provide guidance on technical queries, and ensure seamless execution on-site.
Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress, challenges, and any adjustments to timelines or scope.
Prepare and deliver detailed reports on project status, technical issues, non-conformities, and resolutions.
Ensure that regular project meetings are held, fostering clear and consistent communication between all stakeholders.
Enforce adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations across the site.
Implement best practices for aviation safety, ensuring the well-being of all project personnel and airport users.
Lead the development of risk mitigation plans related to aviation systems and ensure safe installation and operation.
What Required Skills You'll Bring;
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 25 years of experience in aviation projects, with a strong track record in airport infrastructure management and delivery.
- Extensive experience with complex, large-scale airport projects, including airfield, terminal, and aviation system development.
- Proven leadership experience, overseeing teams and contractors in a high-pressure, multi-stakeholder environment.
- In-depth understanding of aviation systems, including airside operations, navigation aids, terminal systems, and aircraft support infrastructure.
- Extensive experience with airport construction and operations, including airfield layout, terminal design, baggage handling systems, and more.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations (ICAO, FAA, etc.) and international standards for airport infrastructure.
- Proven expertise in managing budgets, schedules, and resources for aviation infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in project management tools, technical drawing interpretation, and construction documentation.
- Certification in Aviation Management, Project Management (e.g., PMP), or Airport Design/Operations.
- Experience with advanced tools such as BIM, AutoCAD, or Revit for coordination and design verification.
- Knowledge of airport-specific operational systems, such as air traffic control systems, ground handling operations, and security infrastructure.
