Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • About the Role You will build and maintain reliable backend services and RESTful APIs that power our products.
  • You will work closely with product management, front-end and mobile teams to ship features fast, securely, and with high performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js (TypeScript preferred). - Integrate with external services (payment gateways, 3rd-party APIs, cloud services).
  • Model and optimize data structures in our databases (MongoDB / PostgreSQL / MySQL).
  • Write clean, modular, reusable code and keep technical debt under control through documentation and reviews.
  • Participate in code reviews, contribute to improving standards, CI/CD, and deployment reliability.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, debug performance bottlenecks, and improve system reliability.
  • Collaborate with product, frontend, and mobile engineers to deliver end-to-end features with excellent user experience.
  • Follow security and error-handling best practices in asynchronous, distributed environments.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements (Must Have)

  • 2-4 years of professional experience building backend services with Node.js.
  • Strong experience with at least one framework such as Express.js or NestJS.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design and JSON-based communication.
  • Hands-on experience with relational OR NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Comfortable using Git and modern branching / pull request workflows.
  • Good understanding of asynchronous programming, error handling, and logging. Strong Plus (Nice to Have)
  • Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP), queues (Redis, RabbitMQ), or background jobs.
  • CI/CD exposure (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of security best practices (auth, rate limiting, data protection).
  • Familiarity with observability / monitoring in production environments.
