Role Purpose
Manages the baggage handling operation (Departure, Arrival and Transfer Baggage handling) in shift for one or more flights and ensure proper baggage reconciliation of a single or multiple allocated flights under his/her direct supervision. Resolves operational issues related to Baggage operation, controls the team effectively and ensures highest standards of customer satisfaction in terms of quality, safety, security, efficiency and on time delivery of agreed services. Lead, supervise Baggage agents & Drivers in shift to ensure safe, efficient & on time flight departure & service delivery. Ensure safe, efficient and on time flight handling throughout your shift in accordance to company policies and procedures at all times. Manage resources with high professionalism in line with MASIL, Airline & Local regulation
What you will be doing
• Plan & allocate resources (Manpower and GSE etc..) on shift basis to meet workload demand & to ensure safe, efficient and on time flight departure for all flights (Arrival, Departure & Transit) handled by MASIL at Mosul International Airport.
• Responsible for baggage reconciliation of allocated flights under his/her supervision in close coordination with MASIL departments & all other stakeholders (such as Airline/Airport security, Check-in, Turnaround coordinator, Load control).
• Perform as Baggage Control Centre coordinator & allocator in shift.
• Coordinate with BCC, OCC & Ramp for movement of flights, monitor operation and ensure resource allocation accordingly.
• Brief the team on flight handling, safety and in particular on PPEs, special loads.

Qualifications and Experience
• Education minimum secondary level.
• Minimum 6 months experience within the aviation sector, ideally in airport ground handling
• Previous airport ground Handling experience and knowledge is preferred.
• Must be flexible and willing to work in shifts covering 24 x 7.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Customer and safety focused.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, flexible attitude to change.
• Good communication skills.
• Should be able to read and write basic English.
• Must be medically fit to work in airside.
