Balmer Lawrie (UAE), a pioneering container manufacturing company in the Arabian Gulf, is a large manufacturer of steel drums, and tin and plastic containers of different capacities. Balmer Lawrie (UAE) – a joint venture, limited liability company – is owned by His Highness Sheikh Hasher Bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of Al Fajer Group of Companies, and Balmer Lawrie and Company Ltd., India. The company’s manufacturing plant in the UAE was inaugurated in 1978 at the Al Quoz Industrial Area of Dubai, by the late His Highness Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the then Ruler of Dubai. Balmer Lawrie (UAE) supplies rigid containers to all the user industries in the region that require packaging for their products. The major user industries being catered to include lubricants, chemicals, paints, edible oils, and ghee industries.
