What started in Makkah as a small grocery store in the year 1955, Balsharaf Group is today a chain of food stores distributing to over 16,000 retail outlets across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. With its head office in Saudi Arabia, the company has its manufacturing units in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and India. Moving beyond Saudi Arabia, the company has extended its export trading operations in countries like UAE, Sudan, Egypt, Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, Kuwait, Syria, African Subcontinent, and Libya.
With its operations and business model, Balsharaf has now been counted as among the leading players of the Saudi Arabia supermarket section. The company presently operates twelve minimarkets and supermarkets in Riyadh region along with five outlets, which are mainly wholesale operations. To aid and augment its operations in Retailing and Distribution, the company has opened manufacturing units in India, Egypt, and KSA which manufactures several items such as Confectionary, Ice Cream, PET, Water Metering, Tahina, and Cakes, croissants, biscuits, and chocolates.
With storage and transport facilities that cover 22 countries, Balsharaf plans to extend its logistics function into a 3PL or 4PL business. Apart from having its own retail chains, Balsharaf is also counted in the top five suppliers of the major retail chains of Saudi Arabia such as Danube, Panda, Othaim, Tamimi, Carrefour, and Lulu. To continue its operations with the same zeal, extend its market reach, and meet the future plans, Balsharaf is always on a lookout for employees who are dedicated to make a name in the FMCG retail or distribution market.
