Roles & Responsibilities
Job Title: Bank Branch Operations Officer
Company: A leading international bank
Location: Dubai

Work Schedule & Benefits
- Salary range: AED 20,000 – 25,000
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Flexibility: Candidates must be available to work on Saturdays based on business needs (a compensatory day off during the week will be provided).
- Work Location: 100% Office-based in Dubai.
- Benefits: Annual gym membership and annual airfare ticket.
Role Objective
The Branch Operations Team is the custodian of the client’s legal and credit files. The mission of the Branch Operations Officer is to manage cash management activities and instruction management operations for both trade and non-trade activities. You will support the business through excellent client service, handling operational requirements efficiently while strictly adhering to the bank’s procedures and policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Instructions Management Activities
- Handle client transactions for both trade and non-trade activities.
- Initiate requests and relay transactions using Twist/TradeAI/CAT to respective back offices.
- Manage client documentation, including scanning to CA/CTM teams and managing debit instructions (WPS).
- Act as the custodian for client legal and credit files, including original indemnities (FAX, WPS, VAT, Trade, GPSSA, etc.).
- Process all client transactions within defined Turnaround Times (TATs).
- Ensure proper endorsement and delivery of trade/non-trade documents to clients.
- Maintain organized archiving and record-keeping for all files.
2. Cash Management Activities
- Process inward/outward clearing, transfer cheques, and manager/collection cheques.
- Manage rejected cheques, stop payments, and signature verification on client letters.
- Handle the issuance, amendment, and cancellation of capital certificates and cheque books.
- Reconcile and balance cash margin, suspense, and internal accounts.
- Manage and report funds related to stale cheques or dormant accounts.
- Perform daily ORUS controls and produce statistics for all assigned activities.
- Support ALMT in the placement of ODF (including Saturdays as required).
Expected Contributions
- Contribute to the team’s value and organizational growth.
- Participate in cross-training and assist team members during peak periods.
- Maintain punctuality and active participation in team meetings and projects.
- Act as a backup for colleagues as instructed by the reporting manager.
- Contribute to the bank’s operational permanent control framework and quality management systems.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements (Competencies & Skills)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration).
- Experience: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Up to 2 years of experience in banking is a plus.
- Language: Professional fluency in both English and Arabic (Bilingual) is mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel. Familiarity with banking systems is an advantage.
- Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, strong client orientation, and the ability to work independently or as a team player to meet deadlines.
