We are seeking a vigilant and experienced Banksman/Slinger to manage lifting operations during piling and construction activities. The role is critical for ensuring safe signalling to operators, correct positioning of piles, and effective coordination with riggers to maintain smooth and hazard-free operations on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct excavator and piling rig operators using clear and accurate hand signals or radio communication.
• Ensure the safe lifting, movement, and positioning of piles and other heavy materials.
• Coordinate with riggers to attach/detach lifting gear and guide loads into correct positions.
• Inspect lifting accessories (slings, chains, shackles, hooks, etc.) before use to ensure safety compliance.
• Monitor site conditions and lifting areas to eliminate hazards and maintain safe working distances.
• Ensure operations comply with HSE standards and company safety procedures.
• Stop operations immediately if unsafe conditions arise and report to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records of lifting activities and inspections.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Certification in Banksman/Slinger or Rigging & Slinging (CPCS/NVQ or equivalent).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in lifting operations on construction or piling projects.
• Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, accessories, and safe working practices.
• Excellent communication and signaling skills (hand/radio).
• Ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary site teams under pressure.
• Strong situational awareness and commitment to safety.
