Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Event Sales Executive is responsible for driving banquet and event business by identifying, developing, and managing client relationships. The role involves promoting ERTH’s banquet facilities, creating tailored proposals, coordinating event details with internal departments, and ensuring the successful execution of functions that reflect the brand’s hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Achieve individual and team sales targets for banquet and event spaces.
- Generate leads through proactive sales calls, client visits, and networking activities.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and contracts in line with ERTH’s standards.
- Maintain close follow-up with potential clients to convert leads into confirmed bookings.
- Identify new market opportunities and support strategies to increase banquet revenue.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate, government, and social event clients.
- Conduct site inspections, showcasing banquet facilities and services to potential clients.
- Handle client inquiries efficiently, ensuring timely responses and professional communication.
- Act as a liaison between the client and operational teams to ensure smooth coordination of events.
Event Coordination:
- Work closely with the banquet operations team to ensure event details are clearly communicated and executed flawlessly.
- Prepare function sheets and attend pre-event meetings to finalize event requirements.
- Oversee post-event feedback collection and ensure client satisfaction.
- Support in the creation and execution of event packages and promotional campaigns.
Administration & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client communications, and bookings in the CRM system.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts as required by management.
- Ensure all contracts, deposits, and documentation are processed in line with company policy.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in event sales or banquet sales within a 4 or 5-star hotel or hospitality establishment.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing client relationships.
- Strong knowledge of event planning and banquet operations.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office and hotel sales systems (Opera, Delphi, or similar).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Professional appearance and demeanor with a positive, proactive attitude.
