Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of banquet operations, including setup, service, and breakdown of events.
- Ensure high standards of guest satisfaction and service excellence in all banquet functions.
- Coordinate closely with the Events Sales, Culinary, and Stewarding teams to ensure smooth event execution.
- Supervise and train banquet staff, ensuring they follow service standards and brand guidelines.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.
- Review function sheets and conduct pre-event meetings to communicate event details to the team.
- Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies; ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of banquet areas.
- Handle guest feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Uphold IHG and voco brand standards, promoting a fun, professional, and guest-focused culture.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 5 years of experience in banquet or event operations within a 4 or 5-star hotel environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and maintain attention to detail.
- Financial acumen and understanding of P&L management.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
- Positive attitude with a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences the voco way!
