Roles & Responsibilities

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mixing and Serving Drinks: Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and soft drinks, according to established recipes and standards.
Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, take drink orders, and ensure prompt and accurate service. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints courteously and professionally.
Product Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of the drink menu, including the ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation. Make recommendations to customers based on their preferences.
Bar Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies, glassware, and garnishes. Ensure that all equipment is in good working order.
Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages. Verify the age of customers to ensure they are of legal drinking age.
Safety: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and promote a safe environment for both customers and staff.
Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash transactions, provide change, and maintain an organized cash register. Keep track of tabs for customers who open tabs.
Menu Development: Collaborate with management in developing and updating the drink menu to incorporate seasonal ingredients and trends.
Teamwork: Work closely with other staff members, including servers, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage bar inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed. Track consumption of beverages to minimize waste and theft.
Responsible Alcohol Service: Ensure responsible alcohol service by monitoring customer consumption, identifying intoxicated customers, and taking appropriate action to prevent over-serving.
Entertainment: Some pool and beach clubs may have entertainment events, such as live music or DJ performances. Bartenders may be responsible for coordinating beverage service during these events.
