Roles & Responsibilities

Job Scope:

The Bellman is responsible for assisting guests with luggage handling, escorting guests to their rooms, and providing information about the hotel facilities and services. The role ensures smooth arrival and departure experience while delivering exceptional hospitality and service.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests upon arrival and assist with luggage handling.
  • Escort guests to their rooms and provide information about hotel facilities and services.
  • Deliver guest luggage promptly and safely to assigned rooms.
  • Assist guests during departure by collecting and transporting luggage to the lobby or vehicles.
  • Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and nearby attractions.
  • Assist guests with transportation arrangements when required.
  • Handle guest requests such as delivering packages, messages, and amenities.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the luggage storage area.
  • Ensure luggage tags and records are properly maintained when storing guest luggage.
  • Coordinate with the Front Office team regarding guest arrivals, departures, and requests.
  • Ensure timely response to guest service requests.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to grooming standards.
  • Follow hotel safety and security procedures when handling guest belongings.
  • Assist other departments when required to support smooth hotel operations.
  • Ensure a positive and memorable first and last impression for guests.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


Qualifications/Skills:

  • Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to handle luggage and work in a physically active environment.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of hotel facilities and services.
