Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

A Bike Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining two-wheeler vehicles such as motorcycles and scooters. The role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, replacing faulty parts, and performing routine servicing to ensure the bikes are safe and functioning efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and servicing of two-wheelers (oil change, brake inspection, chain tightening, etc.)

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in bikes.

Repair or replace damaged or worn-out parts such as brakes, clutches, chains, tires, wiring, etc.

Conduct test rides to confirm repairs and ensure quality.

Use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment safely and correctly.

Maintain cleanliness and order in the workshop.

Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.

Follow safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.

Provide basic estimates and communicate repair needs to supervisors or customers.

Skills & Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).

Certification or diploma in two-wheeler repair or automotive technology (preferred).

1 3 years of hands-on experience as a bike mechanic.

Strong knowledge of two-wheeler systems: engine, electrical, brakes, suspension, transmission.

Ability to use tools such as spanners, wrenches, diagnostic devices, and lifts.

Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Physically fit and able to work in workshop conditions.

Basic customer service and communication skills.
