Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented BIM Author (Architecture) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality BIM models and comprehensive sheet sets based on organizational and client requirements, working in close coordination with BIM Coordinators and Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Modeling & Documentation: Create BIM models at LOD 400 and produce full construction document sets and shop drawings using Revit.
- Content Creation: Develop Revit parametric families and prepare/update 3D models for official submissions.
- Standards & Quality: Ensure all sheets and models follow company standards, layering guidelines, and BIM protocols.
- Coordination: Perform cross-checks for consistency, identify interferences between disciplines, and assist in resolving design discrepancies.
- Project Delivery: Prepare project-deliverable packages for transmittal, maintain records of issued models (clash reports, RFIs), and manage regular drawing backups.
- Collaboration: Work with the team to meet project needs, reporting progress regularly to the BIM Coordinator.
- Data Management: Utilize Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) as the Common Data Environment (CDE) and manage project files according to ISO naming conventions.
- Continuous Improvement: Support ISO 9001:2015 requirements and contribute to the organization s Continual Improvement Program.
- Technical Support: Assist with design calculations, 4D/5D model preparation, and reengineering tasks (plotting, file management).
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in BIM modeling for Architectural projects, specifically covering LOD 400 and full construction/shop drawing sets.
- Certification: Revit certification is a significant plus.
- Standards: Experience working within ISO 19650 or BS 1192 environments is preferred.
Software & Technical Skills
- Expert Proficiency: Revit (Advanced), AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- Advanced Tools: Navisworks, Dynamo, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Design & Visualization: Lumion, Photoshop, and SketchUp.
- Innovation: Familiarity with AI tools for architectural workflows.

Desired Candidate Profile
