BIM Author (Electrical)

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented BIM Author (Electrical) to join our Beirut team. This role is responsible for creating high-fidelity BIM models and comprehensive electrical sheet sets in coordination with the BIM Coordinator and BIM Manager to meet organizational and client standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Modeling & Detailing: Create BIM models at LOD 400 and produce full construction document sets and shop drawings specifically for Electrical/MEP systems.
• Content Development: Develop Revit parametric families and maintain 3D BIM models for various project submissions.
• Standards & Quality: Generate sheets following strict company standards and perform cross-checks to ensure consistency in layering, section placement, and BIM guidelines.
• Coordination: Assist in identifying interferences with other disciplines (Mechanical, Structural, Architectural) and identify discrepancies during the design stage.
• Documentation: Generate BOQs, prepare 2D drawings from 3D models with high accuracy, and manage project-deliverable packages for transmittal.
• Information Management: Maintain records of clash reports, RFIs, and issued/received models. Utilize Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) as the Common Data Environment.
• Technical Support: Assist in making design calculations, coordinate specifications with drawings, and prepare models for 4D (scheduling) and 5D (cost) deliverables.
• Quality Management: Support the Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001:2015 requirements and adhere to ISO naming conventions and file management protocols.

Requirements

Education & Training

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Certification: A Revit certificate is considered a significant plus.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in BIM modeling for Electrical projects.
• Proven expertise in producing LOD 400 models, shop drawings, and full construction document sets.
• Experience in MEP detailing is essential.

Software & Technologies

• Expert Proficiency: Revit (Electrical) and AutoCAD.
• Advanced Tools: Dynamo, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• General: Proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office Suite
