Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the implementation of BIM processes and standards throughout the organization.
  • The BIM Manager will support the design and delivery of project specific BIM plans during the life cycle of each project.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Provide training and support to team members on BIM software tools, including Revit, and promote best practices for model development and management.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of BIM libraries, templates, and families to streamline project workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Manage clash detection and coordination processes to identify and resolve conflicts in the BIM models.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of BIM models and data throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and clients to exchange BIM data and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, software updates, and emerging technologies related to BIM and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on BIM-related topics, providing guidance and support to project teams as needed.
  • Participate in BIM-related meetings, workshops, and conferences to share knowledge and best practices with colleagues.

Desired Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the field of architecture with a strong proficiency in Revit software.

This position is a mix of a BIM Manager and a hands on design involved Architect so its essential you have this experience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in BIM implementation and management, in the architecture industry including design experience.
  • Proficiency in BIM software tools, particularly Autodesk Revit, with advanced knowledge of modeling, coordination, and documentation.
  • Strong understanding of BIM standards and protocols, such as COBie, IFC, and LOD requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing BIM projects and mentoring junior staff.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards in the UAE.
  • Certification in BIM-related software and methodologies is a plus.
