Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D BIM models for road networks, corridors, intersections, roundabouts, and grading plans.
• Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D as the primary tools for road alignment, corridor modelling, and earthworks design.
• Ensure models meet project-specific Level of Development (LOD) requirements at all design stages.
• Model road geometry, vertical alignment, superelevation, carriageway markings, kerbs, and pavement layers.
• Develop traffic infrastructure elements including signage, signals and pedestrian crossings.
• Coordinate road and traffic models with wet utility, dry utility, MEP and landscape models to ensure a clash-free design.
• Perform clash detection and coordination using Autodesk Navisworks.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Architecture, Structures, MEP, Dry, Landscape) to resolve conflicts between utilities, roads, and other disciplines.
• Participate in coordination meetings and model reviews.
• Ensure adherence to BIM standards such as ISO 19650 and project-specific protocols.
• Apply correct naming conventions, layering, and file structures across all model files.
• Align models with Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi authority and UAE requirements etc
• Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all models.
• Generate road layout plans, longitudinal profiles, cross-sections, and earthwork volume calculations from BIM models.
• Prepare road and traffic coordination drawings for submission to Authorities.
• Extract 2D drawings, plans, profiles, and cross-sections from BIM models.
• Support quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for infrastructure works.
• Prepare and update as-built models for project closeout.
• Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure version control and proper coordination across multiple project files.
• Support digital workflows within the Design 360 Studio.

Skills/strong>

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Autodesk Navisworks.
• Experience in road design, corridor modelling, grading, and earthworks using Civil 3D.
• Understanding of authorities design standards and submission requirements.
• Ability to produce road geometry, superelevation, and typical cross-section models to LOD 300/350 standards.
• Clash detection and resolution across multi-discipline models.
• Familiarity with BIM collaboration platforms (BIM 360, ACC) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 BIM standards and project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
