Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Biomedical Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and ensuring the safe and effective functioning of all medical and laboratory equipment, including specialized IVF-related devices, within our healthcare facility.


Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, calibrate, and maintain biomedical and laboratory equipment to ensure peak performance and safety.

• Troubleshoot malfunctions and coordinate repairs or vendor servicing when needed.

• Maintain accurate documentation for preventive maintenance, calibration, and service records.

• Assist in procurement by evaluating technical specifications and recommending equipment.

• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure proper equipment usage and staff safety.

• Train clinical staff on the correct handling and operation of medical equipment.

• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, international standards, and facility policies.

• Monitor equipment performance, manage life-cycle planning, and respond to urgent maintenance issues.

• Adhere to OSHMS (Occupational Safety & Health Management System) policies and procedures.


Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare facility (preferably in IVF)

• Experience with calibration and maintenance of fertility/laboratory equipment is an advantage

Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge of biomedical systems and diagnostic devices

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Good communication and coordination abilities

• Proficient in documentation and reporting

• Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety protocols
