Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Install new biomedical equipment and ensure that it is functioning properly through regular maintenance checks.
- Diagnose issues and repair or replace faulty components.
- Calibrate devices to ensure accuracy and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintaining detailed records of equipment repairs, maintenance schedules, and compliance with regulations is essential.
- Train healthcare staff on the proper use and care of medical equipment.
- Staying updated on regulations regarding medical equipment safety and effectiveness.
- Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Desired Candidate Profile
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or Certified Laboratory Equipment Technician (CLEET) or approved equivalent.
Experience Preferred:
- Background in electronics, computer systems, medical device technology, and possibly mechanical systems may be helpful.
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending/stooping, kneeling, twisting.
- Visual acuity. Minimal hearing loss.
- Push/pull/carry minimum 50 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
- Obtain medical clearance and maintain current immunizations.
- Must be able to relocate to Balad, Iraq.
- A valid passport from country of record is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation.
- You must maintain a current passport during your stay in Balad.
