Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

A- Position Summary:

The Biomedical Technical Manager leads the biomedical engineering teams in Lebanon and Iraq responsible for installation, maintenance, calibration, repair, and technical support of a wide range of medical, dental and aesthetic equipment. This role ensures operational excellence, safety compliance, high service quality, and strong customer satisfaction.


B- Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership & Team Management

- Supervise, coach, and mentor the Biomedical Technicians and field service team.

- Assign tasks and coordinate schedules to ensure timely service delivery.

- Evaluate team performance and guide professional development.

- Develop training programs for technicians in advanced equipment troubleshooting.


2. Equipment Installation & Maintenance

- Lead and participate in the installation and commissioning of medical, dental and aesthetic equipment.

- Ensure preventive maintenance programs are in place and followed.

- Approve calibration and repair procedures and quality control checks.


3. Troubleshooting, Repair & Technical Support

- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues escalated from the field team.

- Provide remote and on-site support to technicians and clients when required.

- Standardize troubleshooting guides and repair workflows.


4. Customer Service & Client Interaction

- Communicate professionally with hospital/clinic technical teams and biomedical contacts.

- Explain technical issues, corrective actions, and preventive measures to clients.

- Manage escalated service cases and ensure high client satisfaction.


5. Compliance, Safety & Documentation

- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

- Oversee accurate service reporting and documentation (work orders, service logs, part replacements, etc.).

- Monitor inventory of spare parts and recommend purchasing of new tools/equipment.


6. Collaboration with Internal Departments

- Work with sales, procurement, and inventory departments to forecast technical needs.

- Provide technical insights for tenders, quotations, and client proposals.


C- Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related technical field.


D- Requirements

- Proven experience in biomedical equipment service and maintenance.

- Proven experience in a leadership or team supervisory role.

- Prior experience with medical imaging, diagnostic, or therapeutic equipment is a strong advantage.

- Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.

- Excellent communication skills (Arabic & English; French is a plus).

- Good interpersonal skills with managerial and customer-facing experience.

- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and organize demanding tasks.

- Based in Beirut with frequent travel to Iraq

- Valid driver s license and car ownership.
