Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced BGAS/NACE Certified Blasting & Painting Inspector cum Supervisor to oversee and inspect surface preparation and coating activities for oil & gas refinery projects. The role combines hands-on inspection with supervisory responsibilities to ensure all blasting and painting works comply with project specifications, international standards, and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Quality Control

• Inspect surface preparation, blasting, and painting activities in accordance with approved procedures, ITPs, and specifications.

• Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as NACE, SSPC, ISO, and project/client specifications.

• Verify surface cleanliness, profile, ambient conditions, DFT, WFT, and coating defects.

• Review and approve blasting and painting materials, consumables, and equipment prior to use.

• Maintain inspection records, daily reports, and quality documentation.

Supervision & Execution

• Supervise blasting and painting crews to ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

• Coordinate with project engineers, QA/QC, HSE, and client representatives.

• Monitor manpower, productivity, and work sequencing to meet project schedules.

• Ensure proper handling, mixing, application, and curing of coating systems.

HSE & Compliance

• Enforce HSE rules and safe work practices during blasting and painting operations.

• Ensure proper use of PPE and environmental controls (dust, waste, abrasives, coatings).

• Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety audits.
