Blood Bank and Transfusion Services Technologist

Key Responsibilities:

• Registers and interviews donors and performs blood/component collection and related testing
• Prepares, labels, stores, and issues blood components
• Processes blood requests and patient samples
• Performs routine and specialized blood bank testing and verifies results
• Conducts apheresis procedures and prepares reports
• Performs quality control, calibration, and equipment monitoring
• Maintains SOPs, documentation, and inventory supplies
• Ensures compliance with JCI, safety, and infection control standards
• Assists in training students and newly hired staff
