Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Perform full-scope body repairs including light, medium, heavy damage, chassis alignment, and PDR.
Understand job cards thoroughly and execute assigned body repairs efficiently.
Conduct repairs in line with Mercedes-Benz guidelines, including parts removal, reassembly, denting, frame alignment, and NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) corrections.
Perform test drives with the support of workshop engineers to verify customer complaints and identify appropriate fixes.
Mentor and coach body technicians, ensuring proper knowledge transfer and skill development.
Support estimators and service advisors in heavy damage cases to define the precise scope of repairs.
Document activity lead times accurately using clocking screens, job cards, and ERP/DMS systems.
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and proper handling of body tools, PDR equipment, and workshop machinery.
Maintain quality standards, ensuring all repairs meet Mercedes-Benz and NATCO specifications.
Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment, following workshop safety guidelines and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with paint specialists to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality finishes.
Monitor and report on workshop performance, repair times, and recurring issues to management.
Assist in process improvements, suggesting methods to improve workflow efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Stay updated with new repair techniques, technologies, and Mercedes-Benz technical bulletins.
Liaise with parts department to ensure timely availability of components needed for body repairs.
Support the service team in customer communication regarding body repairs, delays, and quality standarts.
Desired Candidate Profile
EDUCATION

Mechanical Diploma or High school diploma
EXPERIENCE
-
5+ years of hands-on experience in automotive bodywork, including light, medium, and heavy repairs, chassis alignment, and PDR.

Experience within a premium automotive brand or dealership is highly preferred.

Proven track record mentoring or supervising junior technicians.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Expert knowledge of vehicle body repair, frame alignment, dent repair, and Paintless Dent Repair (PDR).

Ability to diagnose and correct NVH issues related to body components.

Proficient in using body repair tools, measuring instruments, and calibration equipment.

Strong understanding of Mercedes-Benz technical repair guidelines and quality standards.

Excellent documentation skills and familiarity with ERP/DMS systems.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
