Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain boiler systems to ensure safe and efficient performance.
  • Perform routine inspections of boilers, pumps, valves, and related equipment.
  • Adjust boiler controls to regulate steam pressure, temperature, and fuel supply.
  • Record operational data such as pressure readings, fuel usage, and maintenance activities.
  • Identify equipment malfunctions and take corrective actions promptly.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on boiler equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, operational procedures, and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team for major repairs or system upgrades.
  • Respond to system alarms, emergencies, and unexpected shutdowns.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the boiler room and mechanical areas.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Boiler Operator, Boiler Technician, or in industrial plant operations.
  • Valid boiler operation license or certification (where required by local regulations).
  • Strong understanding of steam systems, combustion principles, and boiler safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret gauges, meters, and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Physically fit and able to work in heat-exposed industrial environments.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or on-call when required.
