Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
DUTIES:
-
Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
-
Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.
-
Mentor the BOS-I Team in all aspects of their AOR defined in the BLISS PWS and SOPs.
-
Offload, move, store, and relocate various types of equipment, materials, furniture, assembly of new furniture and cleaning as well as any other requirement requiring manual labor.
-
Coordinate and implement delivery and/or relocation of furniture for both office and residential areas.
-
Other duties will require activities such as - unpack, repack, and reconfigure items for proper storage within the project.
-
Drive and/or operate various types of warehouse vehicles or equipment, including but not limited to flatbed trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks and other types of warehouse equipment.

Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment and comply with all safety rules & procedures to include personnel protective equipment (PPE).
-
Coordinate with other logistics and project personnel to complete tasks.

Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
REQUIRE D :
-
Minimum Acceptable Experience Level: Two (2) years experience in warehouse or a related field.

Light and medium truck experience.
-
K n ow l e dg e , Skills, and Abilities:
-
Knowledge of proper loading techniques and forklift weight capacities.
-
Capable of making decisions with little oversight.
-
Ability to define problems and collect data while establishing facts to draw valid conclusions.
-
Interpersonal skills relating to Amentum employees and the U.S. Government.
-

Ability to stand, walk, and sit; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
-
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
-
Ability to work in a hostile, harsh, dusty and hot work environment.
-
Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility.
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.

Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
-
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
-
Moderate to high level computer skills working with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team.

Ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.

Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.

Education: A high school diploma or GED.

Passport, Licenses and Certifications: As part of pre-contingency requirements, by the time the visa process starts, candidates must possess a valid passport with a minimum of 18 months remaining to expiration date with 8 blank pages. Valid drivers license.

Language Skills: Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures.

M edical: Successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by Amentum and our customer for deployment to Iraq. Must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment.
DESIRED:
-
One (1) years experience with Material Handling Equipment including forklift relevant certifications and training on this equipment.
-
Previous out of home country experience and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions are a plus.

Experience working with Amentum.
