Brass Valves Assembly Line Leader (Team Leader)

Key Responsibilities

1. Line Operation

• Operate and monitor assembly machines for:
• Ball valves
• Gate valves
• Angle valves
• Ensure the line meets hourly and daily production targets.
• Track output vs. plan and report any deviations.

2. Team Coordination

• Lead and guide operators during the shift.
• Assign tasks and ensure proper manpower distribution.
• Support operators in handling machine issues or process doubts.
• Ensure smooth shift handover with clear communication.

3. Machine Setup & Changeover

• Perform machine setup for different valve models/sizes.
• Handle changeovers (tools, fixtures, settings).
• Adjust parameters within defined limits (torque, cycle time, etc.).

4. Quality Control

• Ensure products meet required standards:
• Leakage test
• Functional test
• Perform in-process checks.
• Identify defects and immediately take corrective action.

5. Basic Troubleshooting

• Handle minor machine issues (mechanical / pneumatic).
• Coordinate with maintenance for major breakdowns.
• Reduce downtime by quick response and escalation.

6. Reporting

• Record production data (output, rejection, downtime).
• Report daily performance to supervisor.
• Highlight issues affecting production or quality.

7. Training & Support

• Train new operators on machine operation and work instructions.
• Ensure operators follow SOPs and safety standards.

8. Safety & Housekeeping

• Ensure safe operation of machines.
• Maintain 5S standards on the line.
• Ensure proper use of PPE by all operators.
