Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Summary:

To support the commercial team's strategic objectives by assisting in developing automated reporting systems, analyzing and reporting the company’s performance, and identifying investment opportunities, ensuring accurate data-driven decision-making. Create sell sheets, pitch deck for carriers, customers, be super strong on power points animation, and AI.

Management Reporting

  • Automated Reporting and Dashboards: Develop and implement automated reports and dashboards in Power BI for all Business Units.
  • Monthly Business Review (MBR) Presentations: Consolidate data, analyse performance, and prepare monthly Business Review presentations, ensuring they are released on or before the due date of each month with 100% on-time delivery and 100% accuracy.
  • Competitor Analysis: Develop, maintain, analyse, and communicate competitor positions quarterly.

Customer Relationship Management

  • CRM System Assessment and Improvement: Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current CRM system, identify gaps, and implement solutions in coordination with the Commercial Team and IT.
  • CRM Dashboards Integration: Integrate CRM dashboards in Power BI based on Sales KPIs, ensuring real-time data accuracy and usability.
  • Sales Performance Monitoring: Monitor sales performance and provide a detailed report to management each month, highlighting key trends and actionable insights.

Greenfield/Brownfield Project Due Diligence

  • Identify Investment Opportunities: Identify at least 2 greenfield or brownfield investment opportunities, ensuring alignment with Gulftainer's portfolio, vision, and mission. Ideally at least one opportunity is to be identified.
  • Feasibility Analysis and Business Cases: Support internal feasibility analysis and commercial due diligence for identified projects and support in developing comprehensive business cases for management and shareholder approval.

Other Analyses

  • Data Analytics and Insights: Provide data analytics and insights for regular and ad hoc leadership reporting with a turnaround time of no more than 2 business days for regular reports and 5 business days for ad hoc reports (depending on the scope), ensuring 100% accuracy in data and analysis for internal data and minimum 90% accuracy in external data.

Educational Background

M.B.A. Degree or equivalent in Business or Finance

Technical Qualification / Certification / Working knowledge

  • Expert knowledge of the MS Office suite – Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint are a must.
  • Proficiency in the use of industry data sources.
  • Good understanding of financial statements.

Related Work Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a business/ network analyst in container/bulk shipping and or container terminals.

Technical/Functional Competency

  • Ability to turn complex data into compelling stories and present them simply.
  • Thorough understanding of local markets, including cargo flows, gateways into the country, end customers, haulage and rail companies, authorities' documentation requirements, and customs procedures.
  • Solid financial understanding to develop basic financial models and identify the high-level financial impact on GT facilities from various scenarios.
  • Comprehensive understanding of global trade and economic indicators impacting supply chains.
  • In-depth knowledge of carrier and terminal revenue and cost streams.
  • Proficiency in developing interactive commercial models.
  • Ability to identify problems, break them down, and offer solutions.
  • Expertise in Power BI modelling and visualization.
