Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Identify and establish partnerships with corporations, government agencies, NGOs, and international donors to co-develop customized training programs (e.g., upskilling, apprenticeships, workforce development).
  • Lead proposal writing and pitch presentations to secure funding, sponsorships, and contract-based training projects.
  • Analyze regional labor market trends and align course offerings with employer needs (e.g., IT, hospitality, healthcare, green energy).
  • Develop and implement long-term growth strategies to increase enrolment, revenue, and brand recognition.
  • Collaborate with curriculum design team to ensure training programs meet industry standards and certification requirements.
  • Represent the training centre at industry forums, trade shows, education summits, and policy dialogues.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders including employers, alumni, and public sector entities.
  • Monitor competitor activity and benchmark best practices in vocational training across the region.
  • Prepare quarterly business reports and forecasts for senior leadership.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Business Administration, Education Management, Public Policy, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 10 years of experience in business development, partnership management, or program coordination within the education, skills development, or nonprofit sector.
  • Proven track record of securing contracts, grants, or corporate partnerships.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and networking skills.
  • Strong understanding of national skills development frameworks and donor-funded education initiatives (e.g., ILO, UNDP, World Bank projects).
  • Experience working with government ministries or private sector employers on workforce development is highly desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency in proposal writing, financial modeling, and stakeholder mapping.
  • Fluent in English and local language(s); ability to communicate across diverse cultural contexts.
