Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the US Army supply chain in Kuwait, focusing on areas like logistics, warehousing, and transportation, leading to contract wins.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with the US Army's operational needs and procurement priorities in Kuwait, leading to market share growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including US Army officials, contractors, and partners, to facilitate successful collaborations and contract awards.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities within the Kuwaiti supply chain landscape, informing strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, presentations, and reports tailored to the specific requirements of US Army solicitations, securing new business.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions, ensuring favorable outcomes for the organization while adhering to US Army regulations and guidelines in Kuwait.
- Oversee the entire business development lifecycle, from lead generation to contract closure, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless execution of contracts and projects in Kuwait.
- Stay abreast of changes in US Army procurement policies, regulations, and industry best practices to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Travel within Kuwait and potentially to other locations as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and pursue business opportunities, fostering client relationships.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in relevant principles.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in business development or sales, with a focus on US Government contracts, highlighting a proven track record.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of the US Army supply chain operations, particularly in a Middle Eastern operational environment, emphasizing relevant experience.
- Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders, fostering successful collaborations.
- Demonstrates proficiency in proposal writing, contract negotiation, and presentation skills, ensuring effective communication of value propositions.
- Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, enabling the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and adaptability, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment, fostering respectful interactions.
- Demonstrates the ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance, meeting the necessary requirements for working with sensitive information.
- Exhibits fluency in English (written and spoken) is required, while proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable, facilitating effective communication.
