Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Lead and deliver credit & debit card sales growth across ETB and NTB segments.
- Own and execute the cards acquisition strategy across telesales, direct sales, and other distribution channels.
- Manage and align internal sales teams to achieve ambitious acquisition and productivity targets.
- Function as the primary interface with credit, operations, product, and marketing teams to ensure smooth onboarding and faster approvals.
- Identify and implement product and process enhancement opportunities to improve customer acquisition, approval rates, and activation.
- Monitor sales KPIs, pipeline performance, and channel economics; provide regular insights to senior management.
- Support launch of new products, campaigns, and acquisition initiatives.
Knowledge and Experience:
- 7 - 10 years' experience in cards sales, business development, within retail banking, with strong leadership exposure.
- Proven track record of driving card acquisition growth in GCC markets.
- Strong experience managing multi-channel sales teams (telesales, direct/field sales).
- Solid understanding of cards underwriting, approval processes, and sales funnels.
- Commercially astute, execution focused, and highly stakeholder oriented.
- Comfortable operating in a target driven, fast paced environment.
Mandatory Skills:
- Previous experience within Banking, Digital Payment & Card solutions, or the FinTech industry.
- Regional experience across the GCC, including working in a faced-paced matrix organisation.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written, verbal, and presentation); fluency in Arabic is nice to have.
Preferred Skills:
- The ability to analyse data, troubleshoot payment issues, optimize processes, and make data-driven decisions.
- Good understanding of payment systems, digital platforms, system workflows, security basics, and industry technologies.
- An understanding of regional regulations across financial services or payment networks.

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT
We are seeking a senior Sales & Business Development Manager Cards to lead card acquisition and portfolio growth across existing clients and New to Bank customers. This role will drive sales performance across multiple channels while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to improve conversion, speed to market, and overall customer experience.
This is a high impact leadership role for a commercially driven professional with deep experience in cards sales and cross functional execution within retail banking.
