One of our reputed Clients committed to being the leading regional operator in the world of Fin-tech providing innovative solutions and advanced payments looking for a Talented & Experienced Business Intelligence and Analytics Specialist (Fintech)

Our Client:

  • A mobile wallet company transforming how people manage their finances through innovative digital payment solutions.
  • They are looking for a Business Intelligence & Analytics Lead who can turn data into actionable insights that support business growth and efficiency.
  • The role focuses on analyzing customer and transaction data to identify opportunities to increase service usage, grow revenue, reduce costs, and support marketing and product decisions.

Role Overview:

  • As a Business Intelligence & Analytics Lead, you'll be at the center of our data-driven decision making.
  • You'll analyze customer behavior, transaction patterns, and product performance to uncover opportunities and solve business challenges.
  • This role requires someone who can blend technical analytics skills with business acumen and leverage AI tools to work smarter and faster.
  • The ideal candidate will build dashboards and reports to monitor products, services, and company KPIs, while leveraging SQL, BI tools, and modern AI analytics tools to support data-driven decision-making across the business.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Insights:

  • Analyze customer data and transaction patterns to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for growth, revenue optimization, and cost reduction.
  • Support business teams (Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance) with data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Conduct cohort analysis, user segmentation, and churn analysis to understand customer lifecycle and behavior.
  • Track performance trends, customer usage patterns, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Perform deep-dive analyses on payment flows, transaction success rates, and revenue drivers.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for product, marketing, and business teams.
  • Continuously improve analytics frameworks, reporting processes, and measurement methodologies.

Visualization & Reporting:

  • Design and build interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Create funnel analyses to track user journeys from acquisition through activation, engagement, and retention.
  • Develop automated and scalable reporting systems to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
  • Present insights to stakeholders through clear data storytelling and executive-ready presentations.

AI-Powered Analytics:

  • Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to accelerate SQL query writing, code generation, and analysis workflows.
  • Utilize AI for exploratory data analysis, pattern recognition, and hypothesis generation.
  • Implement AI-assisted data cleaning, transformation, and quality checks.
  • Stay current with emerging AI analytics tools and proactively integrate them into daily workflows where relevant.

Data Architecture & Infrastructure:

  • Design and implement scalable, sustainable data architecture and data lakes that supports current and future analytics needs
  • Establish data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure clean, reliable data flow.
  • Define and maintain data models, schemas, and documentation.
  • Implement data governance practices including data quality monitoring and validation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize data collection and storage strategies.

Qualification, Experience & Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related fields
  • 2-4 (Lead experience 3-6) years of experience in data analysis role
  • Experience with data transformation and orchestration tools
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and predictive modeling
  • Previous experience setting up analytics infrastructure from ground up

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for complex queries and data manipulation.
  • Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis and data processing.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar).
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and modern data stack technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their analytics services.

Analytical Capabilities:

  • Proven ability to work with large datasets and extract meaningful insights
  • Strong statistical knowledge and understanding of A/B testing methodologies
  • Experience building funnels, cohort analyses, and customer segmentation models
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with attention to detail

AI & Modern Tools:

  • Proficient in using AI assistants to enhance productivity and analysis quality
  • Quick learner who stays updated with the latest analytics and AI tools
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs and validate results

Domain Knowledge:

  • Experience in fintech, payments, or mobile applications is highly preferred
  • Understanding of key metrics for digital products (DAU/MAU, retention, LTV, etc.)
  • Knowledge of customer journey mapping and conversion optimization
