Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As the Business Planning and Analytics Manager in the Inflight Services team, you will support the management in the strategic development across Service Delivery by defining, developing and executing the required systems related to the business needs. You will be responsible in data analytics, data management and structure, business intelligence analysis. Additionally, you will be responsible in identifying, selecting and developing software that will support the business strategy.
In this role you will:
- Support the continued implementation of a data driven culture within the department, and Service Delivery as a whole, championing factual decision making.
- Lead business analysis within the team and provide a recommended action plan that supports in the decision making within the department and Service Delivery.
- Manage the business analysis on all system development, testing and acceptance. This includes requirement gathering from end users, testing system functionality, documenting specifications, process mapping.
- Advise Service Delivery and other key stake holders to understand the analytics requirements by driving an effective business change, guide stakeholders to find suitable features for data reporting
- Lead consistent KPI and KQI development to establish a consistent basis of understanding and decision making across Service Delivery
- Support the corporate goal of consolidating data from various source systems into a central data warehouse through collaboration with Enterprise Analytics
- Evaluate data collection at the generating/sourcing stage and work with internal (e.g. Enterprise Analytics) and external partners (e.g. IFE system providers) to improve their timeliness and quality
- Manage internal software development by identifying, agreeing and formulating clear and concise requirements by collaborating with a variety of roles within IT
- Devise and implement efficient and adequate procedures for data handling and analysis and ensure timely support of the day-to-day end users needs in data extraction and management. Act as the subject matter consultant with regards to data processing and analysis. Conduct comprehensive analysis on all Service Delivery KPIs to enable decisions for continuous improvement
Desired Candidate Profile
To be considered for the role, you must need the below requirements:
- A Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent), in Information Technology or Business Administration
- 8+ years of experience in In-flight Services, In-flight Administration and/or Airline Operations
- Experience in airlines operations with a strong focus on data analytics
- Experience in synthesising data insights into clearly understandable business actions, with peers and senior stakeholders
- Proficiency with analytics tools and technology platforms
- Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Managing and developing team members
