Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Business Sector Manager is responsible for crafting and overseeing the implementation of both operational and financial strategies to ensure the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of supply chain operations within the Contract Logistics department. The role involves leading warehousing operations to consistently meet client objectives and developing KPIs that guarantee client satisfaction. Key success factors for the role include maintaining budgetary control over operational costs, ensuring adherence to group policies, and leading efforts in human resource development and operational excellence. The manager collaborates closely with the General Manager to align departmental goals with organizational strategy.
What You Will Do:
Manage the overall operational and financial strategy for delivering cost effective supply chain operations for all clients under the Contract Logistics department.
Ensure efficient management of warehousing operations to meet contractual objectives of all clients.
Oversee and guide direct reports, including Operations Manager/Supervisors, to achieve departmental goals.
Responsible for controlling overall operational costs and ensuring manpower costs align with the budget.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) with clients to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.
Conduct regular process reviews to update and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Lead and develop the team by managing training man-days and monitoring staff turnover to enhance operational excellence.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security policies and internal procedures.

What Qualifies You For The Role:
Degree educated with a basic understanding of financial figures.
Minimum of 3 years experience in large scale warehousing operations.
Strong leadership capabilities with good organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with hands-on experience in operational, administrative, and system processes.
