Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The Business Trainer (Training Lead Enterprise & Livelihoods) is responsible for leading the design, standardization, and quality assurance of all training and capacity-building interventions across the project, ensuring that training serves as a core driver of sustainable economic reintegration rather than a standalone activity.
The role aims to establish a coherent, competency-based training ecosystem that links directly with livelihood pathways, enterprise development interventions, and market opportunities. This includes ensuring that all training whether delivered internally or through external providers is aligned, structured, context-specific, and outcome-oriented, enabling beneficiaries to transition effectively into employment, self-employment, or business ownership.br>Operating within a fragile and post-conflict environment, the Business Trainer will ensure that training approaches are inclusive, conflict-sensitive, and adaptable to varying literacy levels, while integrating essential components such as life skills, financial literacy, and social cohesion principles. The role will also ensure that training content reflects real market dynamics, reducing the gap between theoretical learning and practical application.

The Business Trainer will play a central role in strengthening the effectiveness and impact of enterprise and livelihood interventions by ensuring that beneficiaries are adequately prepared to develop viable Business Implementation Plans (BIPs), access economic opportunities, and sustain their income-generating activities over time.
