Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The role of the Buyer is to manage the end-to-end procurement of products for our business. The Buyer will be responsible for selecting and purchasing merchandise that aligns with customer needs and company goals, maintaining vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring optimal inventory levels. Key responsibilities includes:


  • Research, select, and purchase quality products and materials that align with company objectives and market trends.

  • Analyze sales performance, market data, and consumer behavior to make informed buying decisions.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective procurement.

  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and manage reorders to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including planning, marketing, finance, and logistics.

  • Ensure all purchased goods meet company quality standards and compliance requirements.

  • Participate in seasonal planning, assortment strategy, and new product development.

  • Track and report on key performance indicators such as margin, turnover, and profitability.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Economics, Marketing, or related field.

  • Solid experience in a specific product category.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in retail buying, merchandising of automotive spare parts.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Experience with merchandising software systems is a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
