Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic buying plans to maximize profitability and align with brand objectives, sourcing innovative products that resonate with target demographics.
  • Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and payment conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal cost of goods and maintain healthy margins.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer buying patterns to identify new product opportunities and anticipate future demand.
  • Manage inventory levels effectively, balancing stock availability with minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence risks.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in retail buying, with a proven track record in a specific product category (e.g., apparel, electronics, home goods).
  • Demonstrated expertise in retail buying software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret sales data, market research, and financial reports.
