Roles & Responsibilities


Project: DEWA / TAQA – Transmission / Distribution
Voltage Level: 11kV / 22kV / 33kV


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MV cable jointing and terminations (11kV/22kV/33kV) as per DEWA / TAQA standards for Single Core & Three Core Cables.
  • Carry out straight joints, terminations (indoor/outdoor), heat shrink/cold shrink works.
  • Follow DEWA / TAQA-approved method statements, safety rules (NSR), and work permit procedures (PTS).
  • Assist in basic testing work (IR, continuity) and prepare joints for DEWA / TAQA inspections.
  • Maintain tools, ensure proper housekeeping and follow all HSE requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile


  • ITI / Diploma in Electrical or equivalent trade certificate.
  • OEM Certification from Raychem / 3M / Nexans is must
  • Previous approval from DEWA & ADDC is must [Single & Three Core]
  • Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in MV cable jointing.
  • Experience in DEWA / TAQA Substation & Cable Projects preferred.
  • Knowledge of MV XLPE cables and DEWA / TAQA approved jointing kits (3M, Raychem, Nexans, etc.).
  • Ability to work in trenches, manholes, ducts and substation environments.
  • Site-based work across Dubai & Abu Dhabi.
  • Ready to work during shutdowns, night shifts and weekends as required.
