Role Description:

The Cabling Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting structured cabling and network infrastructure across company facilities and international locations. The role ensures reliable connectivity, high availability, and compliance with infrastructure standards by managing copper and fiber cabling systems, network hardware, and supporting enterprise network operations. The position plays a key role in infrastructure expansion.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain structured copper and fiber optic cabling, network switches, and wireless access points.
  • Manage uplinks, link aggregation, failover readiness, and high-availability connectivity between server rooms and buildings.
  • Maintain ODFs, patch panels, racks, and proper cable labeling according to best practices.
  • Monitor and optimize network performance, enterprise Wi-Fi coverage, and system reliability.
  • Maintain network topology, cabling diagrams, and infrastructure documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network, hardware, software, and cabling issues.
  • Support infrastructure rollouts, relocations, and international site deployments, collaborating with internal teams and contractors.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience with structured cabling systems (copper and fiber optic infrastructure).
  • Knowledge of network hardware installation and configuration (switches, wireless access points).
  • Understanding of network redundancy, high-availability architectures, and failover concepts.
  • Experience with ODFs, patch panels, and rack installations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across network, cabling, and hardware environments.
  • Experience maintaining technical documentation and infrastructure diagrams..

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience with enterprise Wi-Fi design and optimization.
  • Experience installing and maintaining server hardware and operating systems.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA or structured cabling certifications).
  • Experience working with multi-site or global infrastructure environments.
