Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a talented CAD Technician - Roads to join our award-winning team based in Dubai, UAE. This critical role will work as part of the Infrastructure team, developing and preparing drawings in CAD format (especially in Civil 3D) for roads and transportation in the different project design stages.
Responsibilities
- Producing technical drawings and/or 3D models for Highways/Roads and Grading.
- Preparation of swept path analysis for roads, service roads around and vehicular entrances to buildings; and assessment in parking areas.
- Producing Circulation Plans for Transportation projects.
- Drafting of interchanges, intersections and roundabouts covering both major and minor roads.
- Liaising with Engineers about the information required, the coordination between different disciplines and project progress.
- Collaborating and coordinating with other disciplines to achieve a fully integrated design.
- Converting concepts and sketches into engineering drawings based on the project requirements.
- Developing workflows for various stages in design and submissions.
- Leveraging BIM software and tools as a methodology to coordinate design progress.
Desired Candidate Profile
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will have a Diploma in Drafting, or any other related subject. We welcome all levels of experience, preferably with more than 2 years of experience in a similar position. Furthermore, you should demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a CAD Technician in Infrastructure (roads).
- Proficiency in software such as Autodesk AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience in Infraworks and Navisworks is preferable.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
